Basic Life Support

Candidates on this course will learn basic first aid, how to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and have the confidence to assess a casualty/situation until help arrives.

Who should attend?

Basic life support is suitable for anyone, at any level of education or employment who wants to gain an insight into basic First Aid.

What will they learn?

How to approach and assess an adult casualty safely, commence resuscitation or place the casualty in the recovery position and keep them under observation until help arrives where necessary.

Course content

• Assess the situation in an emergency
• Administer First Aid to a casualty who is unconscious
• Administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
• Administer First Aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding.
• Administer First Aid who is suffering from shock
• Slips, Trips and Falls
• Treatment of shock
• Minor Injuries

Certificate

Successful candidates will recieve an RB Health and Safety Solutions Basic Life Support Certificate valid for 3 years.
