Megamover Train the Trainer

This Megamover – Train the Trainer course is intended for individuals who wish to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their own ‘in–house’ Megamover training.

Who should attend?

Persons who are required to instruct others at their venue on the correct techniques for the safe use and operation of a Megamover.

What will they learn?

This course will provide candidates with hands-on experience of an emergency evacuation, executing rescues that entail moving casualties in difficult and confined spaces.

This training will equip suitably experienced and skilled individuals with comprehensive knowledge allowing them to design their own site-specific training.

Course content

Candidates undertaking the course will be taught:

• Safe use and operation of a Megamover
• Log roll techniques for unconscious casualties
• Rescue from theatre seating
• Dynamic Risk Assessment process
• Casualty handling
• Planning your training session
• How to structure and deliver training
• Delivery of practical session practice

Candidates will also receive detailed course notes, allowing them to design and deliver their own venue-specific training.

Accompanying the face-to-face training are two eLearning courses which candidates will have access to:

• Toolbox Talk training
• Megamover Skills Refresher (which revisits critical aspects of safe usage and operation, reconfirming essential knowledge to ensure candidates provide current and accurate information.
