If your venue uses ladders or stepladders for work, it your legal duty to ensure that they are suitable and safe for work. Employers need to make sure that any ladder or stepladder is both suitable for the work task and in a safe condition before use. Pre Use checks should be undertaken before every use and a formal inspection completed depending on use. This free checklist is generic and not suitable for every type of ladder or workplace. Inspection guidelines will be outlined in your ladders manufacturer’s instruction manual.
